Agrocampus Ouest was created on 1 July 2008. It is part of the heritage of its two founding institutions: Agrocampus Rennes and the Institut national d’horticulture d’Angers. An international higher education and interregional research institution (Brittany and Pays-de-la-Loire), it was born out of the desire to create a major life sciences institution in the heart of the 1st European agricultural and food basin.
