Jean-Luc Perrot

Chief Executive Officer

My responsibilities

  • Conductor who must choose the tempo, time signature, nuances, progression, and soloists to interpret Valorial’s roadmap
  • NB: the use of a baton is prohibited

My passions in life

  • Solid hobby: making jams
  • Liquid hobby: wine tasting

If I were…

  • A dish: a galette saucisse, for its rustic, convivial, modern, and nourishing qualities!
  • A kitchen utensil: an oyster knife, for enjoying all those stubborn bivalves that are difficult to open.
  • A sports item: a pair of Stan Smiths, an object of consensus and common language between parents and children.
  • An innovation: one that has yet to be invented!
  • A country: France (Cocorico), why look any further?!
  • A writer: J.R.R. Tolkien, a must-read before seeing the film adaptations.
  • A cocktail: a Ti Punch (only with a “Père Labat,” a “3 Rivières” or a “Bielle”) and always in moderation.
  • A song: “Riders on the Storm” by The Doors, still as captivating as ever.
  • An item I would take to a desert island: a French-English dictionary.
  • A place: Les Ebihens, on the Emerald Coast, an almost deserted peninsula where I would take my French-English dictionary.

My motto

See, Judge, Act

My Proustian madeleine

My grandmother’s rice pudding, teurgoule style, cooked for 5 hours in a cast iron pot. The first whiff of the aroma when I wake up, the first bites at lunchtime!!!
