Are you looking to fund your projects, expand your network and contribute to European resilience, sustainability and competitiveness? A wide range of opportunities will soon be available through European calls for proposals. Find out which schemes might be right for you!
Opportunities for stakeholders in the bioeconomy
The CBE (Circular Bio-Based Europe) partnership will launch calls for projects from 3 April 2025 to support innovation in the areas of biomass utilisation, new proteins, algae cultivation and utilisation, bioplastics, and much more.
Valorial will be taking part in the networking workshop to identify opportunities. Register now – online participation is available. A dedicated workshop will also be held on 14 May (more information to follow)
Horizon Europe calls for proposals for research and innovation
Horizon Europe calls for proposals will be available from next month, with a submission deadline in September. These calls cover a range of topics, organised into clusters, with partnerships currently being established.
- TRL 3–5 (RIA): Research and Innovation
- TRL 6–9 (IA): Innovation Actions
- CSA: Coordination and support actions for the creation of networks
Webinars are being organised to help you understand the requirements of these calls for proposals, which have budgets ranging from €3 million to €15 million per project.
Funding for market-ready solutions: the LIFE programme
If you have innovative solutions relating to the climate, biodiversity, climate change or the energy transition, the LIFE programme is for you. It funds projects aimed at demonstrating new tools or supporting European policies on the ground, with substantial budgets. Research is not funded under the LIFE programme. Here too, the budgets are substantial and vary depending on your ambitions.
EIC calls for innovative businesses
EIC calls for proposals are now open to fund innovative projects in the agri-food and agricultural sectors. Join the webinar organised by the French Association of Competitiveness Clusters (AFPC) on 24 April to find out more.
To boost your competitiveness, start with an I3
Before the summer, the I3 calls for proposals will also be launched, providing funding for projects at TRL 6/7 to boost competitiveness and scale up operations. For these calls, Valorial is also involved as a consortium leader to facilitate access for its members, particularly through projects such as Biotech4Food.
Take advantage of Valorial’s support
There are many tools and organisations that can help you understand the calls for proposals and structure your projects. Contact Valorial for personalised support. For members, specific workshops are included in the Agro Inno Club, notably the “First Steps Towards Europe” workshop. Several webinars are available to watch on demand, including the “Good Tips Europe” webinar, which explores the workings of the European Commission, the impact of lobbying, and the interplay between the various European programmes that support stakeholders in the agriculture and agri-food sectors.
