Objective
Launched in June 2023, the Agrifood4Future project aims to transform vocational training and educational programmes in the agri-food sector to prepare the skills needed for the agriculture and food industry of tomorrow.
The project is structured around three main areas:
1. Identifying the sector’s skills needs
Conducting an in-depth analysis of the needs related to digitalisation, innovation and sustainability in agri-food systems across all the project’s partner countries.
2. Designing and testing new training modules
Developing and testing innovative educational content to strengthen the skills of learners and professionals and support the deployment of smart agriculture and more sustainable agri-food systems.
3. Bring together and connect European stakeholders
Strengthen collaboration between project partners, national networks of Centres of Excellence (CoVE*) and all stakeholders to promote knowledge sharing and accelerate innovation in the agri-food sector.
Project beneficiaries
AgriFood4Future reaches a broad ecosystem: vocational and higher education institutions, agri-food companies, farmer and cooperative networks, R&D structures, public authorities, decision-makers and, of course, learners in the sector.
All contribute, each at their own level, to shaping the skills needed to transform the European agri-food system.
